Thoughts

I first met Steve in 1991, introduced by my husband, your old school mate, Mike Hogarth. I was standing unseen behind you, when you made some dodgy comment to Mike about having a new Mrs in his life. “Blimey, sorry about that” you said when you saw me standing there – sorry, not sorry, let’s face it, it was hilarious. From the very beginning, you made me laugh, you always made me laugh. The group of us used to have a blast, partying and attending gigs. You were always so full of life, it’s impossible to believe you won’t be at the final party today. After we migrated to Australia Steve always took the time to send Birthday and Christmas cards, enquire after the family, and always signed, off: Cheers Steve. We stayed friends all this time, and often had a chat on face book. How I wished I had met up with you for a drink last August when Mike came over to see you. How I wish you haven’t gone. Will raise a glass or two for you tonight.

Stephen - a man with a zest for life & a passion for music. Whilst supporting local bands many moons ago, the energy, fun & excitement to travel and see named bands was always there, plus the 'few' obligatory beers. It was a pleasure to spend time with you then & more recently when you ventured back from France. So saddened at your sudden & untimely passing. My thoughts are with your family. No doubt glasses will be raised in your memory by all.
